accident book

i had an accident at a local store, i asked to fill in the accident book which i did and was told i couldnt have a copy. when i was a first aider in a large store we always gave a copy to the the person , have things changed?

If you take them to court, it shouldn't matter fi you have a copy or not because it would be used as evidence.
having worked in large stores I know that there are all sorts of ways that accidents happen but most stores have a rosk assessment policy which means they have done everything possible to avoid any accidents, which means that if it was an accident that they could not have forseen, prevented or trained staff to avoid, there would be no successful claim.

i slipped on a wet floor as the flooring obviously wasnt non slip!
