Cant Settle!!!
Heya, Just wondering if anyone can throw some advice my way.....
I know everyone says this but I hate my job!!! I have had 2 Temp Jobs The First one I loved - really interesting job role in finance but they decided to move the dept to the other end of the country - I worked there for 9 Months! Next I went to another Finance Company Working on the end of a phone which I hated but stuck it out for 9months! I was then offered a perm job at the first place I worked (not in the same job role!) I have been in the job 8 Months and I have got to the point where I dread going in everyday and im taking holidays willy nilly just so I dont have to be there! Im working in a Bank (Branch) however its not like a hight street branch its more for certian people!! I HATE IT!!! The job is boring - the money is rubbish and the people in my office theres 6 of them are as* H0les - all women/girls! They have a little 'club' which im not in (like i care) they all kiss each others butt's!! Nobody really speaks to me unless i've made a mistake - even when i do things the way i have been told - I seem to do things wrong, Its a no win situation and im on pins all the time!!!
I just dont know what to do - I have spoken to my manager but she's full of empty promises!!! I would love to get in to Recriutment but dont know if i have the right skills? Anyone got any advice???

A young man was leaving his village to go and marry his love. As he trudged through the woods he met an old man who asked him where he was going. The young lad replied he was going to marry his bride. The old man then asked him how he felt about the people in his village. The young man said they were all wonderful people, very kind and he was really going to miss them, but he was excited about his future. The old man said to him - "I am sure you will find the people in your new village just the same as your old one.", and wished the lad good luck.
Another young man from the same village was also leaving home the same day and met the same old man. He was asked the same questions. He told the old man he was leaving the village because everyone was horrible and he was very glad to be moving on. The old man said to him - "I am sure you will find the people in your new village just the same as your old one."
Now some practical advice:
There will always be people you don't like at work. There will always be people who gang up against new people, or one person in the department. The herd mentality is strong, especially in offices.
The answer is either to cultivate an attitude where it doesn't bother you, or to move on to something more suitable. Try to think about what you expect from a job. If all you expect is the money at the end of the month and you're being paid well for what you do then you have what you claim to satisfy you. If you want more, then make a list of you want from a job, and another list of what you have to offer. Then start looking for a job that can use and develop the skills you have and also give you what you want. There are lots of career books out there, some in quiz format that help you to find possible career paths. Try your local library before buying any books.
Good luck.
