Worcester 26CDi extra Combi Boiler
2 Answers
Hello,
I've got a Worcester 26CDi extra Combi Boiler and am having a few problems with it.
The heating and water are only working for about a minute at a time then switching off.
The heating (radiator symbol) light comes on with the ignition flame indicator but then after about a minute the ignition (flame) turns itself off and then about 2 to 3 minutes fires itself up again - this it does all day without giving much heat to my radiators.
It is doing the same with the hot water.
i have had a british gas engineer out to look at it today and have been told that the reason for this is because my radiators and boiler need to have a power flush to clear my pipes, rads and boiler and that should rectify the problem.
£579.37 is the price they quoted me and that includes a filter that will stop any cloggging again...Even though i'm new to there Homecare 200 protection plan.
does anyone know if this is the right solution to the problem or am i being screwed!!
Any advice is greatly appreciated,
Please help me on this matter, its alot of money to find for something i know nothing about!!
Thnx in advance
