I watched Cyrano De Bergerac on youtube last night.The 1985 filmed version of the RSC production with Derek Jacobi.It was fantastic.
There's no question,I just thought I'd put it here in case anyone would like to watch it.

I haven't seen it,but I liked the Gerard Depardieu version, and Roxanne with Steve Martin was good too. Guess it's just a good story to film.

I recommend it.It's wonderful.Jacobi is amazing.The translation is by Anthony Burgess,it was commisioned for this production,which is the one used as the basis for the subtitles on the Depardieu film.It is a little theatrical, but that is no bad thing.
