Foxy Knoxy did she or didn't she ?

Why can't she settle this by taking a lie detector test. And why does Hilary Clinton have to be involved? Nothing to do with her.

Having run in Knoxy and Rafaelle, who initially DID NOT incriminate, Mr Lamumba, the Police coerced them into framing him.
When Mr Lamumbe turned out to have a solid alibi, the Police were left with Amanda and Rafaelle.
But they had, by then, told the World's Press that they had solved the crime.
They could not release them and do a proper investigation.
And that was when the Police started inventing stories, and making up evidence.

Guys ...
I always love a good Knoxy/Rafaelle debate ...
... and I'm glad to see we all still get passionate about it, even though the Trial is over (for now).
But ... it's getting late. I wish we'd started earlier.
=0(
But, hey ... I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this.
And maybe you can carry on without me.
In the meantime, if you want to make a donation to Amanda's Appeal Fund, I'll post the link.

Goodnight, guys. Love you all ... JJ x

It appears I'm the only other person on here who agrees with you that this is a massive miscarriage. The others on here who are mocking you seem to have only read the headlines and not the actual facts.
The whole 'Knox framing Mr Lamunaba' episode is a perfect case in point.
He was suggested to her by the police.
When she denied her involvment, they repeatedly asked her to close her eyes and 'imagine how the murder occured'. After many hours - and without a lawyer present (this is the interview with no visual/audio tape and no transcript) - she had a "vision" of being in the apartment at the time of the murder, covering her ears to block out the victims screams. She signed two statements - in italian - to that effect. Those statements are written in perfect, idiomatic, bureaucratic, "police jargon" italian. Is it not a little difficult to imagine a foreign student, who had been in Italy for two months, would have understood what those statements said, let alone made them herself??
The next day a massive police conference was held where the prosecutor said "case closed". The murderers were Lamunaba, Knox and her boyfriend. The crime scene had not even been analysed. When the analysis came in it was discovered that an unknown persons dna, blood and fingerprints were all over the crimescene and the victim. These belonged to Rudy Guede who had fled on the night of the murder.
This thing stinks.
Good discussion though!

none of us were in that room at the time of the murder, so all we have - that is you and i as well as justicejayne - are relying on personal opinion. and it should remembered that that, is all it is. opinions.

Probably the correct decision although much of the evidence appeared circumstantial.
Knoxy stated that she saw Lumumba rape and kill Meredith, so she must have been there.......then when Lumuba had an alibi and was cleared, Knoxy changed her story.....why?
A credible witness allegedly heard the "death scram" and saw"at least 2 people running away".....who were they?
DNA evidence, flawed or otherwise?
Italian Forensics lead the world.........quote from the Italians.
U.S.A says Italian Forensics are "crap"
UK Forensic Scientists have examined the Italian DNA evidence and have yet to give an opinion.
Pick the bones out of that lot.
If she is innocent, then Gueda raped and murdered Meredith by himself in the flat. ?? Nobody else involved?

Personally, I think Amanda Knox is a bit of an oddball.
However, that opinion is based on the picture painted of her by the media.
I have not had the benefit of being present on the jury in the trial, unlike those persons who handed down the guilty verdict, and hearing the evidence presented in my own language to my obvious satisfaction.
Whether there has been a 'wrong' verdict given is for the Italian appeal court to decide.
JJ has spent months fighting 'Foxy Knoxy's' corner using the same 'evidence' every time. It is frustrating and not a little boring to read the same stuff time after time.
There are ABers who believe that the guilty verdict was the correct one, and whilst I appreciate that it was Smurfchops who initiated this particular thread, JJ is quick to present her argument on all Knoxy threads in addition to posting several of her own.
Of course, Answerbank is a forum where all can put their views but to have the best part of two years taken up by the regular posting of this stuff has been/will be teeth-gnashingly tedious...........
