Well JJ for a lady oxygen starved at birth whose parents were told , not to expect too much - I don`t think she`s done too bad and I just pray shes being cared for ready for when the frenzy calms down as it will (does for most artistes)

it does not surprise me dris to be honest, I think a lot of people have shown themselves up as being idiots making cruel and unnecessary comments based on someones physical appearance that they cannot change.

Well as someone who has seen Les Mis more times than most people have had hot dinners, I was initially appalled when I was shown it on Youtube (I hadn't seen the original BGT programme) and was of the view that she would murder one of my favourite songs. By the time she had finished there were almost tears in my eyes. A lot of folk have said she is nothing special - however as a classically trained musician, I can see that she does not go for the easy option and chooses to sing songs with a wide vocal range or with difficult harmonies. OK, so I hate her new single, but actually I think she is damn good. And even if she only lasts a year, well hell, the girl done good.

Hear Hear Barmaid -my husband and I who dont ever gravitate towards classical/operatic music have had the hairs on the back of our necks listening to her singing.Its very pure and very well pronounced.
She is what we in Scotland call clever daft -theres nothing coming over her -she knows what the craic is with herself and she is clever enough to be able to rise above it and seize the moment.

Just find it so dreadful that people criticise her looks. Some people need to take a close look at themselves - it would be interesting to know what those on this thread that joked about her look like. My favourite actors are Tim Spall and Martin Clunes and I will watch anything with John Sergeant in - says it all!!!
