Why delay openning?

Ok so the N is back to front, why would this have any effect on anything? We can all read it, just open the sme66ing road and sort it next time repainting is needed!

The council saw it and told her to remove it or they would charge her for removing it, a couple of weeks later the council painted the road markings for the length of the road, they saw the badly painted no parking sign she had done and painted it again properly, it has stayed there ever since.

I've seen far worse lol, my stepdad is a lorry driver and he sees mistakes all the time. If I remember I will ask him about the one he saw coming off a motorway island. It wasn't just one letter, if I remember correctly I think the entire sign wording was back to front. It's been like that for years, not to mention it has been repainted the same way.
