Humphrey's Corner calendar alert
11 Answers
I was putting the opening school date in my new Humphrey's corner calendar, logged onto parentmail where it said opening school date Tuesday 5 Jan and I thought wait a minute - my calendar says Wednesday is the 5 Jan? Something not right here, better check with the school. Rang them up and asked them whether they had the date or day wrong as Tues 5 Jan date does not correspond to my new calendar.
Receptionist asked 'do you have the 2010 calendar?' 'Yes' I said having checked repeatedly. She said that the County Council have confirmed the date and that is also the date on the calendar in the office. We checked New Year's Day as Friday went to Sat 2, Sun 3 over the page and can you believe it - My calendar has Monday 3 Jan as well! Just returned it. Can you imagine I would have had a Groundhog Day for the 3rd?

It's just a silly real life story like for example last week I gave out my daughter's birthday party invites and forgot to put the date on them. I spent 2 days chasing parents and told them that my older daughter done the invites on the computer and I hadn't checked them. But it's ok because my older daughter is at another school.
