I bought a dv digital camcorder which came without any software. Can anyone tell me the best software to buy?

If you are referring to software for your PC I assume you will be downloading via the Firewire port. If your PC came with Firewire I would have thought the manufacturer would have provided the appropriate s/ware. I fitted my own Firewire card in a spare PCI slot and s/ware was provided with the card.
