which does not employ a qualified nurse,are there any specific qualifications necessary for the giving of medication to the residents .I ask for this reason--my friends husband is in a care home and the dispensing of medication to the residents seems somewhat haphazard.

This area is not my specialist subject - I merely researched it out of interest, but it seems that the CQC controls the care standards in adult residential homes. I found the most appropriate sounding document by searching on the site - but there may be other stuff of use. BM
