bluetoothing phone - comp

do i have to turn the bluetooth on my computer (has vista) and how do i do this, because i search for devices on my phone and nothing comes up.

yeah i can open a window called bluetooth devices but i don't know what to do to transfer stuff from my phone to the comp (i lost the cable and i thought it would be easier and cheaper as i wouldnt have to buy anything extra)

Bluetooth on computer & phone should be switched on. See Windows Help & Support for pc & Applications for phone. Both gadgets should be near each other when transferring. Transfer gadget will search & find nearest receptor & you agree transfer code name.

Easier to agree to all then not.
