Not sure if this should be on 'Travel' or not, but... How is it possible to book the same flight through an Icelandic website for kr14511 (which currently converts to around £72, due to the collapse of the Icelandic economy) Yet if you try to book the same flight through the English translated version of the site, It costs around £1200? Have i missed something here or is it simply an international monetary con?

This is true of many countries (perhaps not to the extreme of the example you give) because airlines set their prices as they choose based on local markets, traffic, and conditions. They charge what they think the markets will bear.
