Have finished the grid, but am stuck on the presumably 12 letter phrase made from letters omitted in wordplay.

I have picked out 'D' in 9th row and 'N' in 11th row.

Any hints, explanations would be appreciated - synonym for Xmas phrase etc

Only just started this and I have not quite finsihed yet but its looking very much like .. a 4 word statement that you might say to someone who's about to go on holiday for example.
