DOG'S EATEN BRILLO PAD

My dog's just eaten part of a brillo pad ... can anyone suggest what to do?

Dogs usually eat strange things as a method of making themselves vomit to clear some thing out that is causing them discomfort.

i would ring the vet and ask for some advice when our dog ate something she shouldnt several years ago on xmas day the vet told us to give her as much oil as possilble he advised olive oil but all we had was cookin oil it is to ease the passing she had about half a litre of it and passed through without any problems good luck

If you'd seen some of the things my dog has eaten, you wouldn't be worried about part of a brillo pad !!

He once ate 1lb of Thorntons Choccies... the greedy little git.

Still.. I understand your concern. Was it a soap-filled wire pad?

give him water so the pad foams up and he vomits it up.

That might make it more abrasive, Tambo.. The oil would have the opposite effect, and prevent it from foaming up.

My first dog once ate a steak pie including the foil - he had no problems. I don't think that he even noticed the foil. It did give him indigestion though. He also took a chunk out of my mum's asthma inhaler - he was ill but just sort of slept it off.

Phone your vet - you will be directed to a vet who is on duty and he/she will advise you. They are usually very helpful.

Use extra washing up liquid in very hot water when cleaning the pans to compensate for the lack of the scourer?
