When i was 19 (.and very naive) I took a job in Germany. I was amazed that nothing was different. the sky was still blue, the grass was still green. then i crossed the road and was knocked down by a bendy tram

Tthis is true. just outside Duseldorf airport. I spent several weeks in hospital, where i met my first husband, but thats another story
