I get very irritable at the most stupiedest things,For instance the noises people make whilst eating really winds me up, it seems to be worse with people I know fairly well, I also pick up on peoples habits and it gets right under my skin it gets to the point where I  feel  like shouting at them or having to leave the room. I hate feeling this way  is it some kind of disorder I have and does anyone know a way of curing these feelings.

It sound to me like you may be suffering from stress. I have had these feelings in the past regarding the noises people make when eating. Cure the stress, and I expect you will cure the irritability.
I know exactly what you mean about the eating noises. If anyone eats an apple or a packet of crisps in my earshot it drives me NUTS!! And I consider myself a tolerant and normal person. I really hate those slappy noises they make as they chew. My sons do it deliberately to annoy me Im sure.

My work partner used to chew gum for about four hours round and round really noisily!

Imagine that!!!

and even worse my ex husband used to breath in the night. I couldnt bear to listen to it and had to use earplugs. His breathing was THE most annoying sound!

However if you have something on your mind or are unhappy or worried about something that wont help your tolerance levels. I try hard to block out things like that because really we have no right to moan about peoples little habits as we all have them and we all make noises

Know exactly what you mean. Problem is, I'm a loud eater and I'm sure people get annoyed with me too.

I put it down to stress. I find exercise helps a lot.
Whilst not wishing to make presumptions about your lifestyle, I found that reducing alcohol and getting an hour more sleep per night did wonders for me when I went through a "ratty" period.
