USING A DIGIBOX AND VIDEO PLAYER

A while ago I replaced a video player that was no longer functioning with a modern version which gave me access to all the Freeview channels. But by using the video player to select channels I could not use the same machine to record a different channel, so I purchased a Digibox.
However, I am back to square one because I know how to set up the video player, and how to set up the Digibox (both from the manufacturer's instruction manual) but I don't know how to connect these to the TV so that I can both watch a channel and record a diffeernt one.

If anyone could help me I would be most grateful: and it would also preserve my sanity!

How many scart sockets does your TV have? if it has 2 (or more) connect the digibox to one and the video to another one.

Try a scart from digibox to video and a scart from video to tv. If you are recording freeview direct from video unit you should be able to watch a different channel via the digibox as the signal should pass through video.

OK, not very clear what you have or haven't got, but have you actually got TWO digital tuners in that lot?

get a freeview set top box with RF loop through. connect your aerial to this, then the box to your vcr scart socket and record off the AV or ext input. If the video has only one scart socket you should connect the vcr to the telly using an RF flylead and tune it in (around ch 36 UHF), keeping the scart for the set top box.

then connect the RF out of the box to your other digital device's aerial input using an RF flylead. then you will be able to watch and record 2 different things.
