Ok, so 1/10 (one over ten) is called afraction &�10% is called a percentage.�What is 0.1 called?

What about if I were referring to it in a sentence - it doesn't seem to sound right.� For example, "Oh it was a fraction of the price" or "The percentage increaseis..."� How would you create a sentence likethe above�but using the word decimal?

0.1 is a "real" number expressed as a decimal  the percentage and the fraction are, in the context you are using ratios:

It was a tenth of the price

It was 10% of the price

0.1 is just an absloute real number so you would write something like:

The price was 10p

I think numbers like 0.1 are sometimes referred to as decimal fractions.
