Why Do We Have So Many Repeat Channels?
TV5 mins ago
Hi, this question is on behalf of someone else so sorry if any of the info. I've given is wrong. Apparently, a few weeks ago on Radio 2's jazz programme, they played a jazz arrangement of the hymn "It is well with my soul" sung by a black American singer. Does anyone know who it was, or have any more info. so I can find it to buy? It's too late to use 'listen again' unfortunately, and have checked the Radio 2 playlist and website but to no avail. Thanks in advance.

All he knows is it was around 8 weeks ago (maybe longer); the show was probably (but not definitely) 'the best of jazz', which is on between 8 and 9pm on a Monday. A bit vague for an answer, unfortunately. :o( The poor DJ would be there for hours trying to find it! It would be great if they could put all these databases online so we could merrily trawl through them ourselves! Very kind of you to email Radio 2, and thanks again.
Hi Chris and Vick!
Thanks loads for getting back to me with that info. I really, really appreciate it. Although that album is no longer available, I have just found the track on another CD by Marion Williams and the Stars of Faith. Fingers crossed it's the same version!
Thanks again from me. And my Dad!
All the best! :o)
