I'm struggling with this one ...

Is 33ac yellowing? I have Y _ _ _ O _ I _ _ .... but I can't explain it if it is in fact yellowing ....

If 28ac is First World War, can someone explain why? I can see it contains flirt and a sword but can't identify how the rest of the clue is involved!

also, 22dn ... I have _ L _ C _ _ _ G but am stumped and would appreciate pointers here!

Thanks in advance

Thanks, cantatrice, I could see that with flirt/sword and first/world but where does the 'originally used by king' come in? I'm not a particularly experienced cruciverbalist and I like to understand!
