just as I was calming down..., I have received an email from lowcost holidays saying they will not refund our money as it was due to unforseen weather conditions on the day...wrong, there was no plane, and that we were offered a different day, the 29th where we would have lost 6 days of our holiday, Trading Standards will now have to get involved..

I dont want to hijack Joys thread but I was astounded NoM -I can only surmise that they took the decision not to argue the toss with thousands of passengers.It truly was just a case of 'Reservation Number please' and 'the money will credited to the card used to make the booking'

BOO -the flight was for the 23rd Dec but we couldnt get Ryanair for love nor money until today when they opened up their offices and had their plan of action in place..
wow Dris, then very impressive you got a refund, nice one!
I know BOO -I was truly astonished but I knew I had the back up of the Insurance company plus it was because of the bad weather and we were through security the lot and they had to escort the entire flight from the terminal so effectively they werent out of pocket for aviation fuel etc.
