How big are my clogs....??
4 Answers
Since this is essentially a question about my feet... I think this is the right section....
Right, my friend works for an airline and regularly has to fly over to Amsterdam. Ive been nagging him to get me a pair of clogs that I can actually wear for the last 18 months. The last time he was over there, he went to buy me some, and realised the sizes werent in our sizes 5, 6, 7 etc they were in centimetres. So, my question is, as I cant decide, would it be better to measure the length of my foot, or the length of one of my shoes??
Anyone with previous clog wearing experience... please help! :o)

If you intend to wear the clogs for serious periods, you have to allow for some really thick socks. They will feel very uncomfortable to unaccustomed feet.
The proper way to wear clogs is with a special pair of very light soft slippers. Make sure that your friend doesn't go for the cheapest ones, as they are made to hang on the wall, not for wearing.
It would ofcourse be so much better if you could pop over to Amsterdam yourself to get a perfect fit. A proper clogmaker is a real craftsman and will ensure you will be fitted with the right arch, instep and sole width. Worn properly, you won't believe how warm they are out in the freezing snow!
