Does anyone remember a childrens tv programme where there were two gnomes in a garden. One had a wheelbarrow, and the other was sitting on a toadstool with a fishing rod. When all the "big people" were out of the way they would come to life and go off on their adventures. It was not animated, and I think it was in the 1980's.

Terry Scott & Hugh Lloyd had a 6 episode series in 1969 called The Gnomes of Dulwich, but I don't think it was a children's programme.
