you should get them lagged, there are government grants for private homeowners and if it is rented then the landlord should sort it out. it could affect an insurance claim if they were not properly insulated. You can tell the houses that need good insulation, there is no snow on their roofs cos the heat from their home has gone right up through the attic and melted the snow.
