Hi All

Has anyone used the above for scarring? I have quite heavy scarring on my neck which has healed very well but because of scar tissue is very tight. This is really painful and causes other problems with my neck.

I was thinking that if I bought this and rubbed it in a few times a day it might help to soften the scar tissue.
I know this will take several months but does anyone use it for this purpose and has it helped.

Thanks

I have white makrs where i had two large scabs on either legs, from an ince skating incident and after a few months of use, there was a slight change, which i didn't notice as i saw it every day, but my mum said she noticed a slight improvement.
Chickadee, my skin scars quite easily and I bought some Bio Oil a few weeks back after I sustained cuts to my hands and forearm. They are straightforward flat scars and I must admit that they healed better than usually with applications of this oil. I don't know if's it the oil or the gentle rubbing you have to do (so another light oil might also work) but it's a lovely light oil with an agreeable smell. I will keep on using it. It is expensive but you use so little of it each time that it seems to me to be very cost-effective. I would say, give it a try! Good luck, let us know how you get on.
box, how big are you're scars, mine are like two chunky lines on my legs a couple of mms wide and 9 &10cm long with a chunkier, oval shape bit near the end (on one of them), which is between 5 - 10 mm wide and a bit longer.
I use it every day as is it light and absorbs fast. I get mine from Amazon. I think it is helping scar on neck ( from a burn ) and would recommend it.

Thanks guys.

I think I will try it. It certainly can't hurt.

Thanks for the link Naomi - I would never have thought to look on Amazon and it is SO much cheaper!!
I know.! Astonishing .Isn't it !! Found it by accident one day .
Molly, my scars are fairly small and on my hands and arms - maybe 3 cms long x 2mm wide - the sort of thing you get from accidents and scratches (particularly as I have 3 cats). The injuries heal quite quickly but often you can see where the injury was, for years. I got bitten by a mozzie in Tenerife in 1993 and still have the mark on my leg where it "went nasty" - which reminds me I should try the oil on that! I;ve not looked at Amazon but I've just checked eBay and it's on sale there too, some of the listings are really cheap - I will go there next time!
Mine are bigger then, i think it works better on smaller scars.
