How can they get the weather so wrong
Here in East Anglia we were warned of heavy snow last night and today. Where I live we have not had a flake for over 24hrs. Is has been warm enough to melt all the snow that was already on the ground. So,how do the forecasters get it so wrong?

They tend to say 'it will snow in the South East' - a huge area Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire. It could well snow in the South East, but not all areas.

#1 yes they did get it 'so wrong'.and saying 'they didnt forecast a heatwave' not really sure what you mean by that. We were warned to expect between 4 and 8 inches of snow and we got nothing.not even a small flurry. No they are not fortune tellers, but I do expect them to give me a reasonable expectation of the weather to come in the next few hours.

fruitsalad - 15 October 1987. Michael Fish and his famous cock up. I stopped believing weather forecasters after that.

After 26 seconds, Michael Fish cocking it up big time.
