I have had a recent blood analysis and the ferritin was 900 ng/mL and the iron 90ug/dL is this a cause for concern.

what did the person who ordered the blood tests say??
Ferritin is high

Serum iron....normal.

It is a cause for further investigation.

There is 1 in 10 people have have/carry this gene.
We have to wait now for more proof that this problem HAEMOCHROMATOSIS can also come from: ..... wait for it ........ yes ....... OVERDRINKING! ( Not always genetic )
Some time ago they were making links with Epilepsy in the USA
Ask your GP about your ferritin level and keep an eye on it as when 1000ng/ml you may well have to take action on this.
