30th birthday suggestions

my son will be 30 in march and i would like ideas on how to celebrate it .he's having a meal with his closest friends and family a few days before his birthday but i'm trying to think of some event 7 of us(family) can go to.infact any suggestion would be most appreciated.he is sports mad but some of the special events i've seen eg man u are very expensive when catering for 7!
