connection on sat nav is loose... any tips?
1 Answers
when i try to recharge my satnav its very hard to get the connection to stay on, i have to wiggle the lead a lot and wedge the sat nav up or tape the lead on etc etc...its not the lead because its is the same with the car charger too
obviously somewhere inside the unit has become loose or mis-shapen.
is there anything i can do to enhance this? without taking it to a shop or whatever for repair...
i have hear adding a tiny piece of tin foil could help - but how? i dont want to shove a piece in the hole and cause damage trying to get it out. also the vey tip of the connector is plastic...
any ideas? thanks

This is most likely to be a cracked solder joint on the power socket.
Unfortunately this is not something that can be sorted at home unless you happen to be an electronics engineer.
Stick with taping the lead so it holds the connector in !
