we have two connections points to add an FM aerial both marked ╥ 75 Ω [couldn't find the symbol but this is the nearest; i.e. two updown upper case "L" facing outwards]
The wire one has little effect, the other is a co axial socket. Thinking of using the later and getting a loft aerial, but which to go for? we're near Gatwick, West Sussex so midway between the BBC/ITV transmitters @ Crystal Palace and whatever comes up from the South Coast.
If we fit an ordinary FM radio aerial now, will we then need to get a Digital Radio later for the future? Think our switchover date is 2012
Unless you have a particular need to use DAB (i.e. want to listen to a station that is only on DAB) then stick with normal FM, as long as you have a decent FM reception then normal FM is far higher audio quality than DAB
