Sorry to get technical, but what do you do with these unexploded bombs? Do you take them away because of the information they have on terrorists, or do you blow them up in situ because of the risk?

Thanks ned, great link. I guess they didn't blow them up.

If Tony Blair wants to make me out a fancy biometric ID card, he's very welcome.

Marge, I don't think there was any need or any way to blow them up in situ as the contents of the bombs seem to have scattered (the chemical ingredients). From a couple of reports I heard on Sky News last night, some of the people on the bus were covered in a white powder thought to be part of the chemical ingredients of the bomb.

Loosehead

The detonators couldn't blow them up so there is no chance of them exploding. They are now a very valuable source of information, you can bet by not very long they will know the source of the chemical content and the id of the bomb maker and probably his mum's shoe size!

How does that work, Loosehead? Do manufacturers keep batch samples?
