Saving Streaming Video Content

Can streamed video content be saved? In this case, I want to save a video from a website that offers a short film "preview" and streams at 256k/sec in Windows Media Player (it plays in a WMV pop-up window rather than the player itself).

It's only about 2 mins long at most, but I'd like to save it so that I can watch it again without having to visit the site each time. Is this possible? Does the video get saved in a cache file somewhere? If so, how do I go about saving it so that I can play it normally whenever I'd like to.

If its streaming, the only thing that gets saved in the cache is a very small file and not the full stream - there are a few programmes about that do this, have a look on google for "capturing streaming video" (or similar) - heres a few programmes that do the trick, some free, others not
