MM and KM Links January 2010 [Week 2]
9 Answers
The New Year has already proved a success for AB Linkers with THREE wins with Crosswords and Quizzes. Shortly after my much awaited win with Enigmatic Variations, I was delighted to hear of a win for ulysses ~ but who was the third? You may recall the RNLI Quiz that I helped with sales. Well, we took up 50 copies eventually, of which most of the 46 returned were from ABers. Not surprising, the winner selected at random was one of our own ~ a Mrs Redsell from Kent! Congratulations!
These successes followed on from that of Joanna Ont-ice, who nailed the Spectator after barely one year of mastering cryptic clues ~ an awesome achievement. On the question of Quizzes, I am pleased to report that Dragonfly 5 is starting to shape up and another week should see it polished to the usual standard!

So far “The Regal Roslyn” is proving the ideal Link setter ~ requiring low maintenance! I look forward to seeing how she will perform during tomorrow’s second round of MM Links. The level of scoring during Round One was quite encouraging and I enjoyed teasing evsajo over her early success (after nearly 3 years of vacuous attempts).
I believe evsajo has also enjoyed even greater success with the international version of this same game. Like many others, why don’t you take part in both Link Games? RR should open her posting at 8.45am and her four words to be linked should be disclosed at 9.00am tomorrow, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Remember ~ early hits gain bonus points!
The before-mentioned international version is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz and goes by the name of “seekeerz”. These games remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards.
Until I see you tomorrow ~ “Happy Linking”!
:o)
PS Apologies to Dustybun for missing her “Multiple Birth” last week (All sorted)
