Scented jasmine

Have just bought a scented jasmine plant - the kind that winds itself around a hoop. I've had them before, and despite following care instructions, have managed to kill them. Any hints on how to avoid this please?

keep it cool and do not let it dry out. During the summer, leave it outside and bring it back in just before the first frosts in the Autumn.

Yes Albags, especially if you let plant dry too m and then over-water in a panic (not mentioning any names here)!
