the clutch on my truck has just failed, i am told it needs a new hydraulic clutch pack as the fluid is black and pedal only slighty engages clutch. Does anyone know what this is and how you fit it.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.jenny's got it bang on, you must change both the booster and the slave cylinder, as it sounds like the clutch fluid is contaminated. failure to change both will ruin the seals in the booster pack, as for bleeding the system, a two person job only because it's not easy to be in two places at once, follow the same basic rules as you would for a car. the exception is if it is air assisted then you need to run the engine to keep the air pressure up.
www.serckintertruck.co.uk go on the site, find the branch nearest you and get a quote. they always do good deals and the branch staff know their stuff for the most part. what you need would be fairly popular despite the age of your truck i imagine. more so than cars, trucks are just a kit of other peoples off the shelf components. dont think of second hand as there's no way of knowing if it's any good til it's fitted and then it's too late.
