Have finished the xword except for 6d "Fathom deep, when sounding" 3
I have S?E
The S comes from "Charm offensive" at 1a
The E comes from "On earth" 10a
Have I one of these answers wrong? Thanks

I had the same letters as you and have put SEE.
I think the explanation I have is a bit tenuous....SEE sounds like SEA, which , of course, is fathoms deep
Wonder what others think ?
