Prince William receives his wings

Hasn't he been wearing his 'wings' for some time now?
Didn't he make the grade at becoming a 'jet' pilot, I seem to remember when he first flew solo?
/// Prince Charles said “Some of you no doubt will find yourselves in Afghanistan, others will be plucking people from danger...or maybe sheep in distress.”///
Now I wonder which of the three William will be called upon to do?

Pilot training in the RAF takes 3-4 years and is in stages.
The first stage is at Cranwell in the light Grob plane.
The second stage involves simple jets at Linton-on-Ouse - using the Tucano.
Then trainees move onto whatever specialist area they want - in his case the Joint Helicopter School at Shawbury in the light Squirrel helicopter. (Joint meaning it's tri-service)
But you know all this since you were in the RAF - so why ask?

Prince Andrew served with distinction in the Falklands.
Prince Harry would have served longer in Afghanistan had the American Media been able to contain themselves.
The front-line troops (of whichever order) are actually quite appreciative of the efforts of the Princes William and Harry...........and do not see the 'farce' of which you speak, bertie.
