Can I claim against the council after I slipped on none gritted footpath and broke my ankle?

The main road in to town had loads of potholes due to the snow
but the council have filled them in as if your vehicle is damaged due
to the road surface you can claim off them , my friends car was damaged and
she took photos and they are going to pay for the damage ,so cars are more
important than people , cars can be replaced ..people can't ...

By not clearing the ice / gritting, an individual can not assume that the pavement is safe for use. If it is evident that the icey pavement has been treated, an individual assumes that it is safe for use, and can thus claim for slipping.
