Question about Hemorrhoids

i recently found a lump on the outside of my ass. i went to the doctors who had a look and said that i was suffering from hemorroids (piles). the doctor gave me some cream called anusil . i've applied this cream to the affected area for over 2 weeks and now the cream has ran out and still the pile hasnt vanished, any advice? thanks

As long as its not itchy, bleeding or painful, then just leave it alone. The cream is only to relieve the above symptoms and maybe shrink it a little but it won't actually make them go away permanently. They are varicous veins and are usually caused from pressure. The only way to remove it completely is by surgery, however its unlikely a Dr will agree to this unless they are severe and troublesome.

Yes, they do go. But not for everyone. I've had them 30 years ago during pregnancy and then last year, due I think to being at work on my feet for too long. Use a cream containing a steroid, which I think Anusil is but ask the chemist. It should shrink it but takes longer than 2 weeks imo. Alter your diet, drink more water, don't strain, and don't worry. Hopefully it will go - or almost go!
