What did you buy/pay for?
What are the circumstances? What sort of debit card? Is it a Visa debit card?

There's an old saying, "A fool and his money are soon parted".
Just read your other thread in personal finance. Are you talking about the £49 you paid to try and get a loan.

I would say it's very unlikely you'll get the money back. That's how companies like this make their money.
No expert but my suspicion is that you can ask your bank, but they may be unsympathetic. Credit cards give you a form of insurance against some things that can go wrong. Debit cards are just another way to access your money.

I got money back once when a purchase I hadn't made turned up on my account, but that is somewhat different to regretting oking money for a scam. But no harm in asking.
This clown paid £49 to a company who said they MIGHT be able to get him a loan!

You should have said Scott. I could have maybe got you a loan if you gave me only £20...
best bet is to give your credit card company a ring explain to them what has happened.

yes thats the one ummmm.just spoke to them regarding this matter and was told that they are legit and are not running a fraudulent companie.so i questioned them with regards to the forum on money expert and the FACT they have been investigated before and was told that they never garrantee any loan or rip people off and she hang up???
It's a debit card.
If you read their small print Scott, you will find it all perfectly legit. Same as these loan companies who charge 2000% interest. Write if off to foolishness and check carefully next time.

Ethical? Probably not but legal, yes.
Well it's not fraudulent if you're daft enough to part with money for a maybe.
If it is a VISA debit card, you may be able to do a Visa Debit Chargeback.

these companies pray on those with bad credit ratings. They do not offer loans they offer a service where they will try and find a willing lender, of course they won't because the only reason someone would use this sort of firm is if they have a bad rating. They will then legitimately keep the fee for the attempt. Bottom line, you welch on debt, you get no credit, geddit?
