I have recently been given a memory stick containing a document raised on Word 2007. I seem to be unable to download to my PC which is loaded with Word 2003. Does anyone know if there is a compatability prombem between these two versions of Word, or how I can overcome this?
Many thanks

Another way is to download OpenOffice from Sun Microsystems. Completely free, and will open Word2007 docs. Gives most, if not all, most users require from an office suite. Excel, Database etc.etc.
Ahem. Careful with the terminology regulo. Excel is a Microsoft Office suite program.
Openoffice.org provides a spreadsheet called Calc that can open Excel documents.
Oops, sorry, you're right. I promise to be more careful in future. :-)
The point about OpenOffice is well made. It's an excellent suite of applications and will provide everything that approximately 80% of users will ever require.

Microsoft Office will provide the other 20% and, if you need that (though chances are you won't), you can pay them for it...
