You can easily make a slideshow if you have Windows XP as this includes Windows Movie Maker. Import your pictures and arrange them on the timeline in the correct order. Now add your music track, you can also use import fro this if the file is on your hard drive. Movie maker will accept most file types incl. mp3 and cda. Now if you want add some transitions and when you are happy save the movie. The quality you should choose is DV avi PAL if you are in the UK. Once you have your AVI file you can burn this to CD or DVD. If you need a DVD player compatible file you'll need to transcode it into MPEG using something like gui dvd author which is free software.
