Lake Bled

After much deliberation about this year's holiday, heading to Lake Bled - any tips out there for us?

Bled is one of Slovenia's principal tourist locations and deservedly so. We found people there (last September) very easy going and pleasant. There is a tourist information office just up from the lake where you can find out about local attractions. Expect to have a relaxing but also interesting time there.

very beautiful place. Not a whole heap to do once you've seent he town and the castle and taken a boat trip to the church on the lake; but a nice place to relax in. You can get to Ljubljana for the day if you want; that's a pretty town but rather bigger.
