Please can anyone give me some advice on if I can stop ex coming back to town after his release from jail?
In 2007 my now ex partner was jailed for the following against myself
AOABH 12 mths imp + 1 yr ext lic concurrent
2 making threats to kill 3yrs imp + 1 yr ext lic concurrent
AOABH 12 mths imp + 1 yr ext lic concurrent
Unlawful wounding 3 rys imp + 1 yr ext lic concurrent
AOABH 30 mths imp + 1 yr ext lic concurrent
False imprisonment 4yrs imp + 1 yr ext lic
AOABH 3 1/2 yrs imp + 1 yr ext lic concurrent
He was released in April this year on conditional discharge but broke the conditions and was returned to prison until March 2011.
Could anyone give me some advice on whether when he is released finally if he can come straight back to our town without any restrictions as he will be living back with his parents whos garden adjoins mine out the back and I have to walk past there house every day to take my daughter to school.
An if there is anything I can do to stop this as I cant see a restraining order being any deterant for him.
Thanks for taking the time to read this as it is a bit of an essay.

I have tried to get the council to move us but they wont agree to do anything to help until he is released due to him "not being a threat" at the minute and we cant afford to rent privately or buy. Plus Im concerned abou tmy daughters wellbeing of such an upheavel she is only 6 and witnessed alot of what happend and it has taken me until now for her to feel secure and come out of her shell a bit again, otherwise I would not hesitate to move. I just do not know where to go from here as I know a year is a long time but in this case it will go all too quickly
