Cuban Honeymoon Holiday's
Hi all, my husband and I got married in July and haven't been on our honeymoon yet due to long distant family being down . Anyway in mid January 2010 we want to go to Cuba - (Havana) preferably, but dont want to spend to much on it i.e. around £1600 or less for the two of us.
We want experience Cuba's rich culture, the people, local food and the artichitecture etc.
Anyone been to Cuba as a couple or as a newlywed and recommend any hotels, places to stay which is affordable and clean at the same time?
Any practical advice or info would be apprecieated and helpful, thank you.

I'd say make Havana and Trinidad your priorities, plus Varadero if you want a resort... don't have any personal experience of doing it in your price range, though.
Can't entirely recommend the food, it isn't really a gourmet paradise. But the architecture is wonderful and the old cars very striking.
