Inkia Mobile PC. I am unable to connect to the net

I have just aquired an INKIA mobile PC which uses Windows CE 5.0. I have not been able to connect to my broadband. I have used every number shown under my Thompson Router. I have even tried connecting to a friends unsecured wirless network also without sucess. Any advive would be very much appreciated.
