Hard to believe I know..PMSL
but there was some great stuff on then and even into the 80/90s
I can remember our house being full to bursting as we had a tele, people came to watch the Coronation
good programmes like Little House on the Prairie for a weekly cry
and Wagon Train, Circus Boy, and good game shows
none of this BB cr@p, this was when the Beeb cared about it's customers

The first programmes I can remember were "Whats my line" and "Muffin the mule" We
used to watch these at my grandads.He had a huge TV set,but it only had a 9in screen !
When we got our own set in 1956 my favourites were Wagon Train,Rawhide and
Cheyenne.

I would love the memories to keep on coming although I have to go out now, theres nowt like a good dose of Nostalgia is there?

see, TV was only 2 channels and finished at about 11.30!!! I remember Emergency Ward 10, we had a jigsaw one christmas made of a scene from it. les large was the character my mum used to like i think

It wasn't often anyone was up that late, we lived on a farm and so early start! I remember staying up late in the early 1970s when Granada did re-runs of garrisons gorillas at 11.30pm and everyone else was in bed , it was tha latest I had ever stayed up and it was such a strange experience!
