Hi Crafty. On Wednesday I am going to drop one of the offspring at York Uni and have a couple of hours with nothing to do. Is there anything nearby worth doing/seeing?

Don't go in the city centre mrs.o unless you want to see the normal tourists sights. If you want shopping all under one roof, and I assume there will be at least one cafe/restaurant, get yourself to the McArthur Glenn designer shopping outlet which is 5 minutes from the university on the A19-A64 interchange.
Free parking and a nice warm wander........

Thanks craft, I didnt realise the Uni was so close to the shopping outlet. I don't want to go into the city centre.

Zacs - are you mad? Me....and golf.....in the same sentence? I'd rather perform bowel surgery on myself with a stick than play golf!
