Firstly thank you grasscarp and johnalex for giving the answers to 2 or my clues. Can anyone please help with the last 2. These have really stumped me,
1. The song says 'it grows in Louisiana' answer 5+5
2. Does it grate on you tongue. answer 9
I was wondering if the 2nd one could be an anagram of grate on you
I have only a couple of more days to go before I need to submit so am desperate.
There is a song by Elvis called Polk Salad Annie, which starts with "down in Louisiana", however I notice you have 5+5 letters. There may be a variation on Polk Salad which may fit the bill, just a guess, might be worth exploring
going back again to the elvis song, there is a line which says "stealing water melon out of my truck" Water melon is a major crop in Louisiana. Does the song literally have the line "it grows in Louisiana" in it do you think? or is this just a clue
