Well it's on the Hawian flag, the septics don't seem to hung up over it.

No. The Union Flag is there for historic reasons. Australia was a British colony, and changing a flag will not change that.

Now that the Scots and Northern Irish (and Welsh) have devolved parliaments (and the EU call the shots anyway), should the Union Flag not be scrapped in favour of something more accurate?

Well I am sure our EU masters will soon force us to loose our flag, so perhaps the Aussies can loose it then too.
